Legal Clinics Training: “Right To Water”

The UNESCO Chair on Human Rights, Democracy and Peace at An-Najah National University concluded the “Right to Water” training which targeted workers and students of legal clinics in Palestinian universities. The training took place on June 20 and June 21, 2021 at the Yildiz Palace Hotel in Nablus. It aimed at promoting capacity building of legal clinic workers and students with regards to legal aid for citizens living in C areas to protect their right to water. This training was part of a cooperation between the UNESCO Chair and the "Towards Better Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in Area C and Gaza Strip" project funded by the European Union and implemented by the Applied Research Institute - Jerusalem (ARIJ), Women Media and Development (TAM) and the Youth Development Resource Center - Hebron (YDRC).

The two-day training was attended by representatives of partners and human rights actors such as UNESCO Chair on Water, UN-OCHA, WASH Cluster, oPt Protection Cluster, OHCHR oPt, JLAC and Palestinian Hydrology Group.
